Since the September murder, police have been searching for the second suspect, McCaulie. Police in September said McCaulie owned guns and was considered armed and dangerous.

On Thursday, McCaulie was booked into the Solano County Jail on a no-bail warrant for murder, police said.

Police in September said Johnson was specifically targeted and was robbed during the murder.

Johnson, a sophomore, was a starting linebacker on the Solano Community College football team and a member of the basketball team, according to Peter Bostic, the college's public affairs director.

He was majoring in technology and electronics and planned to transfer to a university, Bostic said.

Johnson graduated from Armijo High School in Fairfield.
