A man was shot by a police officer in the parking lot of the Vacaville Police Department this afternoon, Vacaville city spokesman Mark Mazzaferro said.
The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. at police headquarters, located at 660 Merchant St.
The man was taken to a hospital. Police will be releasing more details this afternoon, Mazzaferro said.
