A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on northbound Interstate Highway 680 near the Interstate Highway 80 interchange in Fairfield this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at about 6:10 a.m. involving a motorcycle and pickup truck. The motorcyclist was hospitalized with major injuries.
No other injuries were reported in the collision, CHP Officer Kevin Bartlett said.
A Sig-alert was issued and lanes of the highway were blocked until about 6:50 a.m., when the scene was cleared and all lanes reopened.
