Update: Minivan Crashes into Bank of America

Woman hit gas pedal instead of brakes and ran vehicle through the bank window, police said

A minivan crashed into the Bank of America building on N. 1st Street at around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon, taking out the building's window, according to the Dixon Fire Department.

Dixon Police Sgt. Ted Forsythe said a woman in her mid-60s was trying to park her car and hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes.

Two people suffered minor injuries, the driver of the van and another person inside the bank, said Dixon Fire Capt. John Malone. Both refused medical treatment, he said.
