Man Shot In Apparent Drug Deal Gone Bad At Chuck E. Cheese Parking Lot
The shooting occurred in Fairfield Thursday afternoon.
A Redding man was critically injured in a shooting in the parking lot of a Chuck E. Cheese's restaurant in Fairfield this afternoon in what appears to be a drug deal that went awry, a police spokesman said.
The 22-year-old victim apparently went to the parking lot in the 1000 block of Oliver Road, which is close to an Interstate Highway 80 exit, to meet the suspects for an illegal drug deal, Officer Cleo Mayoral said.
Police responded to reports of a shooting at around 2:45 p.m. and the victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, Mayoral said.

The suspects are two black men last seen driving away from the scene in a 90s-model white Chevrolet Camaro with a black roof.
