Hensley Convicted Of Unlawful Sex With Minor: Takes A Plea Bargain- Felony Probation, Jail Time To Be Determined

Hensley accepted a plea bargain from the Yolo County DA this afternoon.

Troy Hensley was seen briefly in court this afternoon, accepting a plea offered to him by the Yolo County District Attorney.

According to DA office officials, he accepted a plea deal that included admitting guilt of three of the 44-charged felony charges:
Count-10 PC289(h) digital penetration that occurred in Solano Co., Count-15 and Count-39, both PC261.5's, Unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.

He will be placed on three-years felony formal probation, serving no time in prison, but could spend up to a year in county jail. Other details of the December 20, at 8:30 at the Yolo County court house.

Hensley's GPS monitor was removed after today's hearing.

District Attorney Jeff Reisig announced that on Friday, November 08, 2013, Troy Anthony Hensley, 38 was convicted by plea of three felony counts relating to his unlawful sexual relationship with a minor.

He pled to one Felony Count of Digital Penetration (Penal Code §289(h)) and two Felony Counts of Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor (Penal Code §261.5(c)).

The charges represent the conduct of the defendant during the length of the relationship, and conduct within both Yolo and Solano Counties where the crimes occurred. Based on Mr. Hensley’s plea all other counts have been dismissed and he will be placed on a grant of felony probation.

Mr. Hensley, a former football coach at Dixon High School, began a relationship with the victim while she was still in high school. The victim was an employee under Mr. Hensley at Bud’s Pub and Grill in Dixon. She was 17 at the time and Mr. Hensley was 37. The relationship continued until after the victim was 18 years old. Mr. Hensley and the victim engaged in unlawful sexual relations in Dixon and often came to Davis to rent a hotel room.

The defendant will be appear before the Honorable David Rosenberg on December 20, 2013, where the court will receive a probation report from the Yolo County Probation Department and set a formal sentencing hearing.
