Fire Jumps Center Divide at Highway 505 Near Allendale; It's Now Contained

"It jumped the freeway and started spreading freely toward some structures."

A fire broke out on the center divide of Highway 505 near Allendale Wednesday afternoon. That fire later jumped to the shoulder of the freeway.

As of 1:30 p.m., Dixon Firefighters were still at the scene.

"It jumped the freeway and started spreading freely toward some structures," a Dixon Fire spokesperson told me. "At this point they don't need any more resources."

The firefighters are doing what they call "mop up," meaning the fire is likely contained.
