The Easter fun began Friday in Dixon with an Anti Drug Rally and an Easter Egg Hunt coordinated by
About 500 people came to Northwest Park Friday morning to participate in the rally. This year, Miracle Christian teamed up with the , Solano County Sheriff’s Department and the area’s Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs Program to put on the event that’s designed to bring the community together against drugs.
“This is about our 10th year now that we’ve put this together,” said Pastor Joe Mejia, from Miracle Christian Worship Center. “We used to do it in our church and we thought ‘Why not take the joy, the love outside of the church into the community?’ Sometimes the church is locked up in four walls (but) the community is more than just four walls. It’s worldwide, and that’s our hearts, to be able to touch the world.”
Friday’s festivities were flush with things for people to eat, see and do. Take a look at the video attached to this story for some highlights.
