Dixon Man Arrested for Failing to Appear in Court

A Dixon man was taken to jail Tuesday after failing to appear at his Solano County court date

The Solano County Sheriff's Department arrested a Dixon man Tuesday on suspicion of failing to appear at his Solano County Superior Court date.

Sheriff's deputies took Neftali Candelario Rivera,  57, of Dixon, into custody at his home on the 6100 block of Clark Court Tuesday.

According to the Sheriff's Department, Rivera was scheduled to appear in court on April 28, 2011, after being charged with disturbing the peace and maintaining a public nuisance. Rivera allegedly missed that court date and a Commissioner Barbara James issued a warrant out for his arrest.

Rivera was placed under arrest at his home for the outstanding warrant and then issued a notice to appear in court with a new date of June 20, 2011.
