Dixon Police arrested Jason Dingman, 24, on suspicion of battery and vandalism, and Daniel Kittell, 24, on suspicion of making criminal threats, battery and vandalism.

Police said that Dingman – no relation to former Dixon City Councilman David Dingman or Dixon Patch writer Debra Dingman – and Kittell were at Northwest Park and approached a 20-year-old man and a 9-year-old girl.

“From what I understand both Dingman and Kittell had been drinking,” Dixon Police Sgt. Tony Morris said. “I guess they were trying to get beer from the other party. For some reason they thought they had beer, but they didn’t.”

Dingman and Kittell began fighting with the man and hit his vehicle, Morris said. Police arrived on scene around 10:05 p.m., but by that time, Dingman and Kittell fled the area on foot Morris said.

Police conducted a thorough search of the area – through several yards and with neighbor assistance – and found Dingman on Parkgreen Drive, Morris said. Police caught up with Kittell on the 1100 block of Watson Ranch Way.

No injuries were reported.

Dingman and Kittell were taken to Solano County Jail.
