Firefighters have contained a grass fire in Vacaville this afternoon, a Cal Fire spokeswoman said.
The 10- to 15-acre fire in the 4200 block of Shady Creek Lane was reported at 2:08 p.m. and was contained at 2:54 p.m., Cal Fire spokeswoman Tiffany Mercado said.
Homes in the area initially were threatened by the wind-driven flames but were kept from any damage, Mercado said.
