7-Eleven Robbed at Gunpoint, Police Search for Suspect

Dixon Police officers are on the lookout for the man responsible for robbing 7-Eleven at gunpoint early Friday morning.

The robber walked into the convenience store at 12:30 a.m., at 1075 N. First Street, brandishing a black, semi-automatic handgun Dixon Police Sgt. Ted Forsythe said.

He demanded money from the store clerk and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Forsythe said the robber was last seen escaping from the store on foot.

The robber is described as a light-skin male, wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, wearing a blue or black bandanna over his face. No description of a get-away vehicle was available.
