3-Alarm Grass Fire Contained Near Travis Air Force Base

Fire crews are on scene battling a grass fire near the base; Fire reported contained shortly after 11:00

A three-alarm grass fire burning in the Travis-Vacaville fire district has now been reported contained by fire officials. Flames have scorched between 10-15 acres.

The fire originally began near Travis Air Force Base area in Fairfield this morning, the Solano County Sheriff's office said.

Sheriff's Lt. Gary Faulkner said around 10:40 a.m. that the fire
was burning near Vanden Road and Cannon Rd. Resources were pulled in from neighboring fire departments.
