The new Valley Glen Apartments

The new ones off of Cherry St. I seen the now leasing sign out on 113/N First so I knew from city meeting that they were low income apartments or I should say affordable housing . Anyways I drove by seen the office with the HUD sign which stands for Housing and Urban Development which is a Federal program and is paid for by us tax payers . So I came home to call because my sister in law is in need to move out of Suisun with her kids and get up here so my wife and I can help her out with them ,while she works . I was surprised to find out when I called that to be qualified to get in you have to be a farm or ag. worker and that she would not qualify for any assistance and couldn't lease there .Now to my knowledge I thought that HUD was a equal opportunity program ? I cant believe that the city would let a program come in that only help a few when durning all the city meeting I attended it was never talked about to be just for the farm workers I thought it was going to be affordable to everyone that needed it but I must be wrong !!!! Please comment and let me know what you all think and if I did miss something which I must have because I don't remember hearing anything about these just being for a select Group !!! Thank you
