Student Video Contest Showcases Water Efficiency

Winners Will Receive Cash Prizes

Solano County High school students can win up to $1,500 in cash by entering the 2014 Water Awareness Video Contest, sponsored by the Solano County Water Agency.

The contest challenges teens to create compelling and original 60-second Public Service Announcement (PSA) videos on a select water efficiency topic. The 2014 water efficiency theme is: Spy on Your Sprinklers: Check your sprinklers monthly for water-wasting problems.

The contest is open to high school students in Solano County. The deadline to enter is Monday, March 31, 2014. Winning students and their schools will also receive cash prizes:

  • First place winner(s)—$1,500 split 50/50 between student(s) and their school

  • Second place winner(s)—$1,000 split 50/50 between student(s) and their school

  • Third place winner(s)—$500 split 50/50 between student(s) and their school
