St. Paddy NOT St. Patty!

Had to chuckle when I opened today's Dixon Tribune. First article has misspelling in title and article. It's St. Paddy's Day. Paddy is short for Patrick, not Patty.

You'll have to forgive him. I think only the Irish would know that, though. I've spent my whole life in journalism and we always spelled it with a "T" if we shortened St. Patrick because of the name with the T. After reading online more, I read several other places where the Irish are correcting us. I learn something new every day! Thanks for sharing--
