Did you hear the news about Roger Clemens? He's been acquitted on all charges. Was the trial really worth it? It seems like the Federal Government must have had better things to do than to chase alleged steroid users.
It seems like everyone in sports was using steroids during that era. Sure, bringing the steroid scandal to light might have changed the sports culture, but what was going to happen to Clemens if he was found guilty? Why send him to prison when some of the admitted users are still in the game?
Why weren't the Feds cracking down more on bankers and predatory lenders? Couldn't some of the money used to prosecute Clemens and Barry Bonds have been used to jail the real drug pushers, the ones getting rich off of the trade in cocaine and heroin?
