I can't help but to start this thing off. I have two things. The gas prices. Yup, they are outrageous. I hate paying over $4 a gallon for gas, but the sick thing is that even if it was at $5 a gallon, I would STILL pay it. I have to get where I'm going. It doesn't mean I have to like it. The second thing I got is this whole Kony 2012 thing. Why is everyone giving this documentary so much attention. Don't we have problems at home that we should be worrying about. It's tragic that this is happening over there, but man o man, do we have problems on the homefront that need more attention. Where's the Youtube video on those? Just my two cents. Your turn.

Carlos, about the high gas prices.... Have you considered buying stock in Chevron to help offset your costs with profits? Joseph Kony would be best delt with sooner than later as he will only continue to kill until he is neutralized. The President ought to authorize a drone strike and then not comment about it. Syria’s Mr. Assad should also be considered, though I think both Russia and China would react to his vaporization.

I think it's long past the time for the City to extend Parkway Blvd. west over the train tracks to connect at Porter/ S Lincoln Rd? This was supposed to be done when the high school opened in Sept. 2007. Why has it not been completed 41/2 yrs later? There is no alternate route from the west/northwest side of town to get out to the high school except to go out Pitt School to Midway and back in on 113. Am I the only one baffled by the traffic downtown when there is an event at the high school/May Fair? Is anyone else perplexed by the lack of movement by the City to make an alternate route via Parkway Blvd a reality?

Love the rain, can't complain, but why do I have a hole in my shoe that I discover only after I step in a huge puddle? Epic fail!

@Toni , the city recently directed its staff to apply for community block development grants that would improve the flow of traffic along the South First Street area. Part of that money, should the city successfully attain this CBDG, could be used for the project you speak about.
