After falling behind 2-0, both teams could hear their fans’ collective sighs of disappointment. But after clutch performances from the Oakland A’s and the San Francisco Giants, both teams have found themselves tied 2-2, poised to advance to the next series if they win their respective Game 5’s.
The Giants decisively won Wednesday night 8-3 against the Cincinnati Reds largely to eight extra-base hits and Tim Lincecum’s strong pitching performance, according to MLB.com.
The Giants would become the first National League team to come back from behind 2-0 if they win on Thursday, with the game starting at 10 a.m.
The Oakland A’s rallied in the bottom of the ninth for a 4-3 victory against the Detroit Tigers after a walk-off win. The A’s will step up to the plate on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Both teams have proved that being down 0-2 isn’t the end of any series and that fairytale comebacks are possible.
