Watch Live Coverage of JPL's Curiosity Mars Rover Landing

The video below will keep you updated on the progress of Curiosity's Mars landing, which is estimated to take place around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.

On Sunday evening, JPL engineers will be crossing their fingers for the successful Mars landing of the rover Curosity.

You can get live updates on the rover's progress in the above streaming video, provided by JPL.  News about the rover's landing is expected around 10:30 p.m.

To land on Mars, the rover will need to slow down from around 13,000 mph to a soft landing in the planet in just seven minutes, a feat that JPL has dubbed "7 Minutes of Terror."  For more on the landing, check out the links below.

Curosity began its historic voyage to Mars with a November launch of the rover. It lifted off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station aboard an Atlas V rocket back in November.
