Scientists discover what's killing the bees (Update to my prior blogs).

Over the last few years I have been trying to keep readers updated about the Honey Bee populations decline.  Several of the earlier studies that I cited pointed to pesticide use but could not for certain nail down the cause.  Well fresh off the press we have a new study from the University of Maryland and the US Department of Agriculture and it says that they have “identified a witch’s brew of pesticides and fungicides contaminating pollen that bees collect to feed their hives”.

The study states that a unique situation is occurring…there is a growing need for Honey Bee Pollinators at the same time that the bees are experiencing a decline in their populations.

At this point rather that bore you with my take on the situation I encourage you to read the study and act accordingly.  This information is especially important for Ag Producers, Ag Workers and Professional/Home gardeners that might have cause to use pesticides and fungicides.
