It’s been almost a year since Alyssa’s fall to Wonderland. With a few, faint, reminders of Wonderland, Alyssa’s permanent red streak of hair, is the only daily reminder that the Wonderland fairytale as well as her title, is real. With her mother out of the asylum and Jeb as her boyfriend, Alyssa finally feels that she has it all. That is, until Morpheus appears.
Where once again readers dance upon the wings of a moth, as Morpheus fulfills his promise of coming to gather Alyssa. As if he is fresh out of his chrysalis, he transforms, masking himself as a stylish but brooding exchange student, with dangerous intentions of his own. Proving once again, an agenda true to his character.

Everything starts to spin out of control for Alyssa, as she refuses to answer the call of the netherlings, or even that of Morpheus. Instead turning to her dark morbid, mosaic artwork for solace.
Discovering that her ties will never be severed, the call to return is too great for even Alyssa, as netherling creature’s start to surface. Proving that Wonderland and her powers therein, have never left. Quickly learning, that the evil Red Queen, is despite for revenge and will take back what once was hers.
With Chessie along for the ride, Alyssa must discover the answer of the caterpillars riddle- to whom do you belong? Not sure of what Morpheus has awakened in Alyssa, she must discover the connection to the strange and eerie creatures of wonderland, and her rightful calling as ruler. Asking more questions than answers, Alyssa must choose for herself. With her two worlds colliding, she is finally forced to look at her heart and choose between her knight and her prince.
Struggling with the madness that will surely make her go “unhinged,” Alyssa must decide whether to allow it to consume her, or can she be strong enough to stand for herself. Leaving the only person left for her to betray is herself.
