Northern Solano Democratic Club Meeting

Northern Solano Democratic Club talks Bay Delta Conservation Plan

The Northern Solano Democratic Club will meet Monday July 8th, at 7 p.m. at Fairfield's Benicia Grill II, 2390 Texas St at Airbase Parkway. This month's meeting focusses on an issue of concern not only to local residents, but to all of Northern California: the Bay Delta Conservation Plan. Melinda Terry, manager of the North Delta Water Agency, will speak on Northern California water issues and the two-tunnel system currently being proposed by Governor Brown to deliver water to Southern California. The North Delta Water Agency, formed in 1973, has as its primary purpose to assure and protect the water supply and water quality for landowners--including Delta island farmers-- within Agency boundaries. Ms. Terry is a highly informed spokesperson for Delta interests in California's current "water wars". Come hear her speak about this complex environmental and economic situation.

Tickets will also be available for the upcoming Democratic Women in Action luncheon on July 13. The luncheon will be an informal get-together, with the goal of sharing and prioritizing our interests. All activist Democratic women are invited--come meet like-minded women of Solano!

The Club is a meeting place for local progressive Democrats who focus on advancing a liberal platform in Solano County, California, and the nation. If you are a local registered Democrat, and have not joined the Northern Solano Democratic Club, you can do so easily at http://www.northernsolanodems.org/ . Please join us for this month's meeting and discussion on Monday, July 8th, at 7p.m. The Benicia Grill II will open its meeting room early for meeting-goers who wish to dine beforehand. For more information, please call Greg at 707-386-6411.  Greg Petersongspeterson1@gmail.com707-386-6411
