At Risk, International, presents a Jewelry & Accessories Boutique
Open House on Thursday, October 10th, from 5:30-8:00pm,
and Saturday,
October 12th, from 2:00-4:00pm
at Grace Fellowship of Dixon, 535 West H
Street.
Handcrafted
jewelry made of art glass,
precious stones, beads and pearls will be available for purchase, as
well as scarves,
purses and gift items. All items are handcrafted by women who have been
rescued
from or are at risk for human trafficking. WAR, Int’l operates
restorative and
preventative programs such as Safe Houses, women’s shelters and
orphanages, and
education and micro-business training throughout 31 countries worldwide.
The
Women At Risk program allows women to work with dignity, heal, and
restore
their sense of value and worth. All product is made in a fair-trade
environment. 90% of the proceeds go back to the women and their
programs, while the remaining 10% covers administrative costs, shipping
etc.
