Get your Halloween Jack-o-Lantern and spend a great day in the country at the Western Railway Museum in Suisun. Visit the Pumpkin Festival Trains on Saturdays and Sundays from October 13 – 28, from 9:30 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Take a scenic, five-mile ride back in time on a historic, life-sized electric train to Gum Grove Station, a wooded glen far from the trappings of modern life.
The first electric express train leaves at 10:00 a.m., with departures every half-hour until 4 p.m.
Dixon Rotary Clubs, along with local Rotarians from Fairfield-Suisun, and Cordelia, are rallying together to make the event a success, providing a hay bale fort, food, tractor rides, music, games and of course, pumpkins for sale, just in time for Halloween.
Admission is $12 for adults, $11 for seniors (65 & up), and $9 for children (ages 2–14). Parking is free.
Prices include admission to the Museum and to the Pumpkin Patch, unlimited train rides, and use of the Museum’s spacious, shaded picnic grounds.
Please note that there are no advanced reservations.
All proceeds benefit the Western Railway Museum (a non-profit educational institution) and the local Rotary Clubs who provide thousands of dollars to local community and youth activities each year.
