Register Now for Easter Candy Class

Kiwanis Collects Blanket; 4-H Does Diaper Drive

• Register now for next week’s Easter Candy Class at Every Baking Moment in downtown Dixon. Class will be Tuesday, April 5 and is 6 – 8 p.m. Call Janis Luzzo at (707) 693-0112. The store is located at 141 North First Street.

Zumba Class Registration is being taken this week for the class starting next week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 708 p.m. in the big gym of the Old Dixon High School. Cost is $38.00 and classes fill up fast. Instructor is Angie Pewitt, Certified Zumba Instructor. Call the City of Dixon Recreation Department at (70) 678- 7000.

Economic Development Corporation Breakfast will be Wednesday, March 30, and the topic will be: The Elimination of Redevelopment and State’s Shift of Programs to Local Communities. What’s the impact to our economy? Speaker will be Jim Wunderman, CEO of the Bay Area Council. Networking begins at 7:30 a.m. with the program at 8 a.m. at the Garden Inn Fairfield. Dine Out at Mary’s Pizza Shack anytime on Wednesday, March 30, to help out Dixon High School’s Class of 2013.  Bring one of the flyers with you so Mary’s will donate 20 percent of your purchase to the sophomore class. The benefit is even good for take-outs and delivery orders and it is good for all day. If you can’t join them that night, Mary’s will donate ten percent of any gift card purchased on the event date. Kiwanis Blanket Collection and 4-H Diaper Drive will be held this Saturday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at a special booth outside Dixon’s Walmart. The Dixon Kiwanis Club is collecting blankets for the children of Migrant Families coming to the Migrant Camp this spring. The Wolfskill 4-H students are combining efforts at the event to collect diapers for under served parents of babies.
