Dixon Man Pleads Not Guilty to Child Molestation; $500K Bail Remains

A Dixon man accused of committing lewd acts on children dating back more than a decade ago made a brief appearance in Solano County Superior Court on Tuesday, according to the Vacaville Reporter.

Corey Wilkins, 34, plead not guilty to two counts of committing a lewd act on a child. One count alleges that the victim was under the age of 18 and the second count alleges that the victim was under the age of 14.

As of July 3, Wilkins has not been released from custody since his arrest nearly three months ago, as his $500,000 bail has not been met, according to the Solano County Jail. He due back in court 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 7, to schedule a new probable cause hearing date.

The Vacaville Reporter reports, Wilkins was arrested in April by Dixon police after investigators received information about an alleged confession Wilkins had made regarding molesting children, according to Dixon Police Chief Jon Cox. Police additionally said that the victims were from Dixon and Vacaville and the suspected lewd acts occurred during the last 11 years.
