You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But, we’ve got a better idea. Each week, Dixon Patch picks a restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here’s this week’s choice:
TAQUERIA ADELINA -- Looks aren’t everything. Taqueria Adelina does not draw the average downtown shopper in its tiny door from its looks but the A-frame sign out front touting the 99-cent Wednesday Taco deal might. That is exactly how word has spread about this Mexican Restaurant’s delicious authentic tacos. The inside is clean and the waitress friendly. Super burritos are $5.50 and combination plates are $8.50 with almost everything else on the menu less than that.
Don’t’ forget to purchase a bag of homemade Mexican cookies on your way out for only $2. They are a cross between a Snickerdoodle and short bread and are great! They are located at 183 North First St. (707) 693-8989 and they are open seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
