A True Variety of Entertainment Offered This Weekend

There is a Pancake Breakfast, a Farmer's Market, and a Russian Concert in Sacramento--Plus Everything in Between!

It’s Thursday and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do this weekend.

Patch is coming to the rescue. There is everything from pancakes to steak for eating out, or browse for fresh produce, or enjoy a Russian concert and more. Check out our ideas!

1. UC Davis Student Resident Firefighters Pancake Breakfast    

Where/When: UC Davis Fire Station 34, 625 Klieber Hall Drive, UC Davis campus from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 3.

Why Go:  It’s an all-you-can-eat thing and because all proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. For more information, call (530) 752-1236.

Pricing: $6 general; $5 children ages 11 and younger.

 

2. Vacaville’s Farmer’s Market

Where/When:  At the Nut Tree Shopping Plaza at 1681 East Monte Vista in Vacaville.  Saturdays, 8 a.m. – noon.

Why Go: Wonderful selections of fresh, locally grown and certified organic produce.

Pricing: Free.

 

3. Go to the Lion’s Club ‘Spring Break’ Dinner Dance

Where/When: First United Methodist Church, 2100 J Street, Sacramento o Sunday April 3, 2 p.m.

Why Go: Last year there was standing room only left to hear the Slavic Chorale with San Francisco’s Slavyanka Russian Men’s Chorus.

Pricing: Tickets are $15 general admission, $12 students/seniors, $20 front rows. Call (916) 678-1633 for more information or go to slavicchorale.org.

 

4. Russian Choral Concert

Where/When:  Mae’s is located at 170 West B Street in downtown Dixon and is open Wednesday through Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Why Go: Inventory is always changing due to consignments. There is a large selection stuffed in a little spot that features collectibles, vintage items, household goods, and plenty to peruse! For more info, call (707) 678-2247.

Pricing: Free to browse and parking is close.

 

5. Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce 16th Annual Business and Consumer Expo

Where/When:  Fairfield High School, 205 E. Atlantic Avenue, Fairfield on Monday April 4, 4:45 – 7:45 p.m.

Why Go: Come and meet Fairfield and Suisun business people while enjoying samples of the Fairfield-Suisun area restaurants. There will also be great door prizes and the Reporter is helping to sponsor the evening.

Pricing: $15 admission but $10 with coupon printed in Wednesday’s edition of the Reporter.
