A Firehouse Bistro Favorite: Biscuits and Gravy

This bistro's got it down when it comes to creative comfort foods

You could stand on a corner in downtown Dixon and look around until a restaurant aroma draws you in--which works...but we've got a better idea. Each week, Dixon Patch will pick one for you, either in town or nearby. This week, we really were downtown, and there really was plenty of scrumptious smells of bacon, eggs, and ummmm flakey biscuits.

The is owned by John and Leslie Kraints and they have been working diligently these last several months as new owners to develop their own style of great meals. Although they have several great dishes, this one is a must try: the Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast. Located at 180 West A Street (corner of N. Jeffeson and A Streets).

They are open weekday mornings by 7 a.m.  and close at 2 p.m. but have just opened on Thursday and Friday nights 6-9 p.m. to offer dinner. Call for reservations if you want: (707) 678-7234.
