Dixon Youth Basketball Registration Begins Monday!

 This year the City of Dixon is offering Youth Basketball for boys and girls 1st through 8th grade. Dixon Youth Basketball will provide Dixon’s youth with a warm, nurturing and supportive environment in which they can improve skills, participate in a team atmosphere and share a common commitment with one another.  The goal is for children to have fun!

 This year you can sign up for the Dixon Youth Basketball League online, by clicking here (there is a convenience fee to register online) or you can register any day Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at City Hall, 600 East A Street.  Early Bird Registration starts Monday, October 7th and will be open until Friday, November 8th, cost is $80.00 per participant.  Continuing registration will be available November 9-22 at a cost of $90.00 per participant.  The youth basketball games will be held on Saturdays for all age group divisions.   Registration fee includes ten league games, team jersey and certificate of participation. 

 The City of Dixon offers a Recreation Scholarship which may be available for those who qualify.  To apply for a scholarship you can pick up an application at City Hall, 600 East A Street, Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.  A limited number of scholarships are available.  Please Note: processing your scholarship can take up to three weeks.

 Volunteer coaches are needed for every basketball division.  Coach forms will be available beginning Monday, October 7th.  To volunteer as a coach please fill out a coach’s registration form at City Hall, 600 East A Street, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 Game Officials are needed for the youth basketball program.  If interested in becoming an official click here.  The city is looking for responsible and enthusiastic individuals.
