DYFC Breaks the Huddle for an Exciting 2012 Season

DYFC Ready for 2012

DYFC is gearing up for an exciting 2012 Season!  Among the excitement includes welcoming new board members, the selection of head coaches and the hopes of building a relationship with Dixon High School.

DYFC welcomes Toodie Gomez as the new Athletic Director.  Toodie comes to the DYFC Rams with years of experience in coaching youth sports.  He has coached youth leagues in Winters and Davis.  He has also coached high school football in Dixon, Vanden and most recently Winters.  He is thrilled to be back in Dixon.

The head coaches have been selected for each division.  They are:

                Justin Broussard – Mitey Mites

Jason Chadwick – Jr Pee Wees

                Corbin Wadlow – Pee Wees

                Bill Baker – Jr Midgets

                Toodie Gomez – Midgets

Many of our youth football players go on to play high school football at DHS.  For this reason DYFC and DHS are looking to team up and unite the two programs.  DYFC board members met with Varsity Football coach, Wes Besseghini to discuss ways to run identical coaching philosophies.  Both organizations are in favor of running the programs in a side by side manner and are planning clinics not only for players but for the coaches as well.  Thank you Coach Besseghini and DHS Athletic Director, Tom Crumpacker for your willingness to help bring the two programs together.

DYFC would like to acknowledge the Clay family.  You all have made a difference in the lives of many of the youth that are involved in the program.  You have been a huge asset to this community and we appreciate all you have done.  Thank you for your many years of service.
