UPDATE: The opening was bumped back to Thursday, August 29. The story below was done when scheduled reopening was Tuesday.
STORY: Remodeling began almost a month ago in the store next to in Dixon. Last Tuesday, August 14, the construction migrated over to teh coffee shop itself.
Rather than closing the busy store, a temporary mobile cafe was built right in the parking lot, which according to employees is only the second store in the company's history to do this. The drive-thru was closed, however, in order to rebuild the structural side of the building and reroute the driveway.
When the store reopens Tuesday, expect to see new furniture, upgraded family-style bathrooms and more room for the employees to work -- making it more efficient for them to get you your morning coffee. You'll also see a redesigned drive thru for cars to ease around the corner and a fenced in front patio area with new furtinure.
