Plans for Dixon Thrift Shop Underway

The thrift store will benefit Dixon Family Services.

A thrift shop that will benefit Dixon Family Services is in the works.

The proposed thrift store would take over 409 North Adams Street and initially be open at least three days a week to accept donations and sell donated items.

Profits from the store will benefit some of Dixon Family Services programs. The nonprofit provides education, counseling, classes, and other resources to locals in need, according to their website

During the May 21 Dixon Planning Commission meeting, staff plans to approve the conditional use permit to operate the thrift shop.
