Project delays were caused by: "Measure N, the end of the year holidays, the slowness in securing the minimum required acreage, and derogatory rumors which are in opposition to our project."

To the Citizens of Dixon, CA

This letter is to clarify our current position. As independent business owners we have elected to use the Dixon Tribune and the Dixon Patch to share with the public the progress of the Morning View Studios. It is a misrepresentation if any other publication claims to have knowledge of our plans and/or intentions. From our vantage point the City of Dixon has effectively represented the citizens of Dixon in its support of our project. In their effort to bring new business and jobs to the City of Dixon, your current elected officials and staff have been problem solvers and a positive force in this endeavor. The local IBEW180 union has also been an active supporter of our project because it realizes the benefits to its membership.

We have had a delay in the launch of the land acquisition and the construction phase but not a delay in its completion date. This delay was caused by a series of unrelated factors, such as: Measure N, the end of the year holidays, the slowness in securing the minimum required acreage, and derogatory rumors which are in opposition to our project. Today, we have the acreage under contract and our lenders are reviewing our plans for opening our studio doors January 15, 2015. The lenders’ review should be completed in the next few weeks after which we will move quickly to close escrow and to make the entitlement process payment to the city. This in keeping with Morning View’s commitment to not ask the City of Dixon to absorb any cost related to our project.

Our agenda has never changed throughout this project. That agenda is to create a modern movie studio in Dixon, CA which will mutually benefit the citizens of Dixon and Morning View Studios.

This project is very grand in its scale and if it were easy, many others would be trying it as well. So, at this time Morning View Studios would like to ask the citizens of Dixon to understand that our goals are the same. We ask for both your patience and trust and together we will be successful.
