Extreme Auto Expanding to Offer Truck Accessories

Jeremy Silva started four years ago but he is expanding his shop again at 445 North First St. location to now include some retail space.

“He’s been doing this since he was about 15 years old,” said his father Jerry Silva who admits to “guiding a little bit” at the shop. “He took auto shop at and then worked for an auto shop and just kept going. It’s now been 20 years.”

The front of the shop will have their new sales room for truck accessories.

“We’re a full service auto repair business but no one else in town specializes in truck accessories,” said Jerry. “Dixon is basically a farming community so therefore almost every family owns a pick up truck. In this economy, can they go out and buy a new car? We do several types of Tonneau truck bed covers and camper shells.”

They’ve also learned that there was a need for trailer repair and parts so they also offer that in their slate of services. For more information on , call (707) 678-6987.

During the , there will be double the reason to stop by ‘The Art of Touch’ at 165 East A St., Suite A1, across from . Samantha Stake and her mother, Margaret Stake, are hosting a Grand Opening Celebration that will feature beautiful artwork of their own creations as well as a view into their business.

Both are Certified Massage Therapists and opened their location recently.

Massage is a method of natural healing and has been used for centuries to help relieve muscle pain and weakness. It also helps people recover from injury or illness, they say. The duo believes that people owe it to themselves to live the best life they can by taking care of their body and spirit.

This is the season for wine and at ; you can bottle your own at their annual event under their large tent on Saturday, September 10, 1-4 p.m.

Folks get to first sample the various wines to help make your selection(s). Then they get to fill, cork, cap, and label their own bottles, said owner Jess and Mary Ellen Jones, long-time Dixon farmers. If one prefers, he or she can also blend some red wines to one’s particular taste. There will be several blend recipes available.

Prices will be $10 for a bottle of red wine and $7 for the chardonnay and blushes.

But wine isn’t the only thing to delight your taste buds. They will also be serving a tri-tip lunch with fresh garden veggies. Admission is $10 for the afternoon of delicious food, fun bottling your own wine, and meeting other wine loving people.
