A former adult-film star will be launching the next stage of her career in Dixon this month.
Angie Savage will debut Angie’s Wieners at the Renegade Rendezvous in Dixon on September 8. Her business will offer up “The biggest wieners and the hottest buns,” according to the company's slogan.
The star of the business is Savage, who “appeared in over 90 adult films and became an award winning erotic actress before leaving the adult industry,” according to her bio.
Angie’s Wieners initially planned to have a food truck at the Renegade Rendezvous, but decided they wanted the ‘Wiener Girls’ to be able to mingle with the crowd. So instead, they’ll have an open-air tent with all of the cooking gear set up so vision is not obstructed.
“Angie will be signing autographs, and the Wiener Girls will be cooking and serving,” said Angie’s Wieners spokesperson Alison Waite Mamana.
Mamana said that Savage was ready to segue out of her adult film career, and she wanted to do it in a positive way.
"She’s PG-13," said Mamana. "She wants to leave that all behind her now."
Which leads us to Angie’s Wieners and the Wiener Girls.
The business will launch at the Renegade Rendezvous on September 8, and from there Mamana says the sky is the limit.
The event in Dixon doesn’t mean the City of Dixon is about to get an Angie’s Wieners storefront or anything. The launch party is just the first event in what Savage hopes will be a successful venture.
“We’re announcing that Angie’s Wieners is in business,” said Mamana of the local event. “And we’re really excited to do it in Dixon.”
Savage has almost 45,000 followers on Twitter and has had parts in several mainstream movies recently as well.
