SING WITH THE BAND KARAOKE at LEGION LIVE
Bar and Kitchen open at 6. Singing with the band starts at 8pm.
The Band will be KISS AND TELL
This Friday, March 16, the new Dixon Veteran's Hall at 1305 N. First Street will see the first ever Friday Night Legion Live "open mic" night with the Woodland based band, "Kiss N Tell" playing for everyone, 18 and over, who wants to get up before an audience and sing backed by a live band. According to American Legion hall manager, Greg Coppes, "Its a little different from Karaoke in that you have to kind of know the song you're singing but we are giving everyone a chance to perform with live band backing them. If you don't know all of the words you can just make them up." Coppes said, "This has been the single most requested event for us to sponsor and for a cover charge of only $5 we are expecting to host a pre-St. Patrick's Day party to remember." The return of Kiss N Tell for an encore performance was requested by many who saw their first show a month ago, according to Coppes. He said the popular rock and roll, across the board style, will go perfect with the open mic show. He added, "The later in the evening it gets, so I'm told, with a full bar available, the more entertaining the open mic becomes." The doors open for the general public at 6 pm and food will be available from 6 to 10 pm. The live music, open mic and dancing will take place from 8 to midnight.
