You can stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But, we’ve got a better idea. Each week, Dixon Patch picks a place either in town or nearby that you can check out. Here’s this week’s choice:
Dawson’s – This long-time business still offers a great breakfast and a few other specials as well. Here are a few of them: # 1: Lunch - Char-broiled half-pound hamburger, fries and soda or draft beer is $ 6.50 from 2 to 6 p.m. daily; # 2: Breakfast - Thick slice of ham, three eggs, red potatoes and toast for $ 4.99; and, # 3: Breakfast - Fresh baked to order waffle served with two eggs and choice of bacon or sausage for $4.99.
The business is located at 105 North First Street in the heart of downtown Dixon. Hours are Monday 2 p.m. – closing, all other days they are open 7 a.m. to closing including weekends. Just a note, there is a pool table for those who like to play. Phone is (707) 678-2067.
