Fire Crews Free a Man From Beneath 3000lbs. of Steel Piping in Vacaville

Vacaville man freed by fire crews after being trapped under 3000 pounds of steel pipe.

KCRA News reported an update on the incident, explaining an employee at Valley Iron, on Elmira Road, Vacaville became trapped when a 3000 pound bundle of 2" steel piping fell on his leg.

Fire crews freed the man approximately 55-minutes after arriving on scene.

According to KCRA news, the man remains hospitalized for precautionary reasons, but remained in good spirits, suffering non-major injuries.

Dixon Fire updated the Patch, stating they responded along with the Vacaville Fire Protection District, to the City of Vacaville to provide station coverage while their department worked the incident.
