PHOTOS: Dixon Turns Out for Tree-Lighting Ceremony in the Park

Good weather meant a big crowd

The weather was better than last year's, and a large crowd turned out for the tree-lighting ceremony in the park next to the library (Thursday night). There were dancing young women on stage, bags of kettle corn, firemen, free candy canes, Santa Claus across the street, Vice Mayor Dane Besneatte to flip the switch and Jill Orr as emcee.

A good time was had by all as the big day approaches.
