“First of all a huge giant thank you to Brad and the folks at Pin-a-go-go,” Cayler began, “Dixon residents, if you have missed this event now is the time to mark your calendars.  It is the weekend after the May Fair.  It is fun and happy event.”

Pin-a-go-go handed over a giant check in the amount of $15,026.

Cayler proceeded to boast gratitude for Dixon Recology, referring to them as “our foster mother or maybe our guardian angel,” giving great appreciation for their continued support in cleaning, hauling, painting, and countless donations.

Recology joyfully handed over their check signed for $10,377 and change.

Cayler explained that the Dixon Teen Center is a “safe place where teens can build and experience positive friendships and relationships, and where education can take place. A place where teens can meet, share interests, activities, joys and, yes, sorrows. A place where positive friendships and associations can develop and grow. A place where there is an opportunity for education for both school and non school subjects. We try to meet needs and have fun as well.”

Although the center is a City-based, it is a primarily volunteer based, volunteer organization, that must maintain about $75,000 in funds raised each year to continue to operate. Find out more, and how you can help by visiting DixonTeens.com.
