The Dixon Veteran's Memorial Hall announced today the well known group, Loose Blues,  R&B group will return for an encore presentation this Friday Night, April 20.

Going from one extreme to another the Legion's promoter and Commander, Greg Coppes, scheduled a mellow R&B group the week right after a rock group. Coppes said attendance has continued to increase each week with the series of Friday Night Live entertainment venues at the Veteran's Memorial Hall on North First Street in Dixon. He added those in attendance have remarked about both the food being served food out of the Legion's kitchen and the acoustics of the hall for musical entertainment. A $5 cover charge donation at the door gets you in for the evening of live entertainment.

This Friday night, the Hall will be set for dining, dancing and of course listening enjoyment with the upbeat blues band performing from 8 to midnight. The kitchen will be open from 6 to 10 pm and the full bar will be open starting a 5 pm.

This weekly series of providing Friday Night Live entertainment is to benefit the American Legion and its work for aiding veterans and veteran's affairs. There are openings for local groups who are interested in trying to secure an evening, Coppes said. If you have , or know of a quality group, Coppes can be reached at 678-6308.
