World Record Attempt: Knitters Needed at Lambtown this Weekend

Lambtown is this weekend at the Dixon Mayfair Grounds. Bring you knitting needles Sunday and join as Dixon attempts a World Record.

Dixon will attempt to bring a second World Record title to town this Sunday at the 26th Annual Dixon Lambtown Festival. That record would be the Largest Group of Knitters in One Place. Currently, the record is held by Roscommon, Ireland where a group of 1,147 knitters gathered, so Dixon needs your help to reach their goal of 1,200 knitters.

Grab your knitting needles and join the crowd this Sunday, Oct. 7, 12-noon at the fairgrounds. The group will be collecting the squares created for donation to the Afghans for Afghans project, if you would like to participate. Download your application HERE.

There are plenty of opportunities for fun at this weekend's two day Lamb Fest, Oct. 6-7.  The festival will be held at the Dixon MayFair Grounds, 655 South 1st St., from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M.
