Dixon's Pleasant Valley Boys on Tap for Today's Picnic in the Park

The Pleasant Valley Boys play traditional bluegrass from 1947 and before.

Allow them to whisk you back a few decades at this evening, beginning at 4:30. Summer is winding down, so this weekly event will soon call it quits for the winter. 

Often referred to as Matt & George and their Pleasant Valley Boys, tonight's band, which features guitars, stand-up bass, mandolin, banjo and vocals, is from Dixon.

In addition to the music this evening, the Farmers Market will dish up its usual array of locally grown, organic food along with fully prepared meals, as well as Sudwerk beer.
