Adams Street Carwash recently made a generous donation to the Dixon Soccer club, earmarking a portion of their weekly proceeds for the past several weeks.
Owners Ted and Jeri Seifert designated $0.50 of each touchless automatic car wash during their "donation Wednesday" special dates.
“The Adam Street Car Wash, (located at 760 N. Adams St.) has four self serve bays, five vacuums and large drying area, along with Touchless Automatic Car Wash," Ted Seifert said, adding that they are constantly improving and updating because they place an emphasis on a quality wash with attention paid to their customers.
Both Dixon High grads, the couple have owned the business for more than 30-years and say they regularly try to donate back to the community through programs.
This year, with their son, Brent Seifert, helping coach youth soccer, and their grandson playing on the team, they felt the Dixon Soccer Club was a great organization to support.
Ted coached Football for 18 years at Dixon High School, graduated from Dixon in 1970, and from UC Berkeley after playing four years of Football at Cal. From his experience being involved in sports at many levels he said he knows the importance of how youth sports programs can be used to help train and educate the next generation.
The Seiferts also own and operate the "Silveyville Christmas Tree and Pumpkin Farm" in rural Dixon on Silveyville Road. The Pumpkin Farm is now open to the public daily, from to 6 pm to 10 pm from now through Halloween. They can be contacted at 707-678-1823 for birthday parties, tours and special school or group outings for both Halloween and Christmas .
