Up to $5,000 Available to Businesses, Public Facilities and Non-Profits Investing in Water Efficiency

VACAVILLE, Calif. – Solano County businesses, public facilities and non-profits can receive up to $5,000 for replacing water-thirsty turf, irrigation systems, fixtures and appliances with more efficient materials and models through Solano County Water Agency's (SCWA) rebate and incentive program.

The program offers business water customers and institutional water customers (such as hospitals, schools and churches) a free water use efficiency survey and comprehensive report that outlines water saving opportunities and eligible rebates. Eligible sites that are publicly funded or non-profit will receive 100 percent reimbursement with no cost match up to $5,000, and eligible business customers will receive a 50 percent cost match up to $5,000.

"Businesses and the communities they serve depend on clean, reliable water to grow and prosper," said Andy Florendo, a Senior Water Resource Specialist for Solano County Water Agency. "As California's dry conditions continue, now is a great time for business and commercial customers to invest in water efficiency for the good of the community and the bottom line."
