Solano's Animal Shelter Offers 4th of July Pet Special

Huge Discount of Adoption Fees Flagged for Holiday

The Solano County Animal Shelter is waving a few flags--and fees--in recognition of the 4th of July holiday next Wednesday with a '1776 Freedom Fest.' They want residents to consider celebrating freedom and liberty by providing independence and a good home for a homeless pets.

For the week of June 30 through July 8, pet adoption fees will be discounted to the rate of $17.76. This is a significant discount as normally, the cost is $121.00 for dogs which includes a one-year license and $80.00 for cats. The holiday special rate does not include a $10 microship for dogs nor a $6 rabies vaccination for cats, however, that is required for all new pet owners to purchase.

To view all the available pets and have an opportunity to 'review' them, one can stop by the shelter at 2510 Claybank Road in Fairfield or go online to www.solanocountyanimalshelter.com. Just don't go on Wednesday, July 4, as they will be closed for the holiday.
